For some reason, this reminds me of the German toy, the Hamplemann. You pull the string and the arms and legs go up at the elbow and knee joints of the the wooden figure. If you pull fast and furiously, the man and all his appendages swing wildly. Being jointed at the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee, there is a lot of double-jointed or even impossible movement that is not unlike the falling Bush figure.
